Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab, accompanied by MNA Khawaja Saad Rafique, MPA Mr. Yasin Sohal, Mr. Tariq Mehmood Pasha, Secretary Finance, Ch. Mubarik Ali, Additional Secretary Communication & Works and other high-level government officials visited the under-construction Bab-e-Pakistan Complex on February 10, 2009.

Col. (Retd.) Shuja Khanzada, Vice Chairman Executive Committee & Brig. Asif Murad, Project Director Bab-e-Pakistan, received the guests and gave them a presentation on salient features of the project and current pace of work being carried out under NESPAK's supervision.

The Chief Minister advised the Project Architect M/s Amjad Mukhtar & Associates to select indigenous material in lieu of imported stones without compromising quality. He also constituted a committee to facilitate selection of local stone and to ensure completion of project in reasonable time.
